Kouman yo prepare pwason – How do they prepare fish

Pou fè manje ak pwason, ou bezwen sizonnen pwason an avèk lay (garlic), pèsi (parsley), zonyon vèt (green onions), sèl (salt), yon ti kiyè lwil oliv (a T spoon of olive oil), mwatye yon tikyè ji sitwon (half a tsp of lime juice), piman pike (hot pepper). Kòmanse manje bannann ak pwason!

Gade byen: Pwason pa pwazon (Fish is not poison).

Ki jan yo prepare bannann an Ayiti? Fri bannann pou ou ka manje-l avèk pwason (Fry plantain so you can eat it with fish). Ayisyen rele sa bannann ak pwason! (Haitians call that plantain with fish).

Achte yon sak grenn bannann vèt nan mache a (Buy a bag of green plantain at the market)

Retire po bannann yo – Peel the plantains

Koupe bannann yo pa tibout won – Cut the plantains by little round sections. (Note that the smaller the pieces of plantains, the crispier the plantain will get!)

Chofe lwil ou. Kou lwil la byen cho, mete ti bout bannann yo nan chodyè a (Heat up your oil. As soon as the oil is very hot, drop the pieces of plantain into the cooking pan)

Itilize yon pèz bannann pou peze tibout banann yo (Use a pèz bannann (squeezer) to flatten the platains).

Bouyi grenn bannann yo tankou yo bouyi patat (boil the plantain the way they boil potatoes)

Kisa akasan ye?

Akasan se yon bwason Ayisyen. Li fèt avèk mayi moulen (corn flour), lèt (milk), anis (star anise), kanèl (cinnamon), epi sik (sugar). Ou bouyi-l jiskaske li pare pou bwè.

Josh C. Beckford's new E-book on Jersey Shore Partyers Heading to the Hamptons: "Jersey Shore Goes to the Hamptons...."

Jersey Shore Boozy Invaders, Hurricane Sandy Refugees, and Day Trippers Run to The Old Money, High-Class Snobbery, Upbringing, and Exclusivity of the Hamptons Indian Wells Beach and Mega-mansion Residents

Jersey Shore Young Party-goers and Day Trippers Hit High-Class and High-Society Snobbery of the Hamptons andBeyond

Jersey Shore partyers and religious beachgoers have found a new place to crash for their Summer Vacation. The sun, beach, and exclusive lifestyle of the Hamptons are the main reasons they are heading there this holiday season.

After all, the sand is fine. The weather and background are gorgeous. Most importantly, the regular revelers have a great body they are willing to show off. With shirt or shirtless, they are ready to take over the beach of the Hamptons. The beachfront residents of the area are not ready to let these new pleasure seekers take over their fun back yards. They are screaming from the top of their lungs from the beach to the council members’ office. They are attending community meetings where they are shouting invectives in order to change things. They are pushing the politicians to take measures banding packed vans and busloads of partyers and day trippers from invading their access to the sea. They forget that the ocean belongs to everybody. The residents of Indian Wells Beach and any where else in Hamptons are not the only ones who feel this way. Some beachfront entries are blocked in California and Florida where the celebrities live. They want to block the access of the regular men and women.

The old money set of the Hamptons corporate dwellers are shaking their heads. They do not seem to understand where they went wrong. They knew that they could not stop the entry of the nouveau riches, those celebrities loaded with money do not need to be on the inside to join what appears to have been a very exclusive club. The partyers of Jersey Shore and the DJs are ready to bring the fun to the backyard of the traditional rich. They care about music, high fashion, and body type. They care about the present. They care about now. They have the booze and generator to pump up the music. They have the gadgets and are connected through social media. They throw the parties on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and others. They are a group of savvy Internet and social media users.

In this e-book, Josh C. Beckford shows how technology and access to money breaks down the barriers of class, race, and ethnicity. The Jersey Shore has been taking a taste of the beauty of life in the Hamptons. They are willing to party and enjoy the beach. These Jersey Shore revelers are saying goodbye to the class and high-society snobbery common amidst the residents of most American communities.

"2013 Kiss Nightclub Fire in the Land of the Future – Fogo em Boate Kiss 2013, Terra de Futuro" is an ebook about the brutal tragedy occurring at Kiss Nightclub located in Santa Maria, a University town. Authors Bruno Ferreira and Moreira C. J. Ferrero give you an eye-witness account of the blaze inferno taking place in the early hours of January 27, 2013. Students and young professionals are back from their Summer vacation. As common in Brazil, throwing a huge party is the name of the game for all self-respecting and socially connected young individuals. Thousands of beautiful young men and women crowd Kiss Nightclub where a band was playing great music. When the members of the band had a mishap with the pyrotechnic display, all hell broke loose. General panic! Bedlam! Stampede and Trampling were the last attempts to exit the security-protected establishment. Authors Bruno Ferreira and Moreira C. J. Ferrero write about hope, the pain in the parents and friends' faces in the land of the future. Yet, in the background, life must go on. The carnival season is just around the corner. FIFA and IOC still believe that Brazil can organize the 2014 soccer world cup. No time to doubt the organizational powers of this gigantic South American land of dreams. Brazil is mourning her losses, but the show must go on. Watch Videos of Kiss Fire at http://frenchlessonpodcast.libsyn.com and http://haitiancreolemp3.libsyn.com

These island lovers go by their performance names (Rent a Rasta, Rent a Vibe, Rent a Dread, Rent a PastaRasta) and sometimes break into fights over those middle-class and western women, divorcees, and grandmothers rejected by the men of their own culture in spite of all the nips and tucks. Magna, Deanna, and Martina are all too happy to find out that they have a second life and are in high demand by the locals who'd rather see a little bit of meat on their curvy women. This book is an eclectic collection of poems and short essays on California's people and landscape, wine, beach and car culture. Wordsworth summarizes my poetic affinity, "Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings; it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility." California Blooms, Blossoms, and Harvest Delights deals with this expansive, rich and fertile landscape in a way that readers will quickly recognize the important landmarks, features and attributes of the Golden state. It pinpoints areas of appreciation and highlights important cultural contributions and activities of the various ethnic and minority groups forming this new frontier, Central California. "Our hills and farmland are blooming with new houses and commercial buildings bordering fields of grazing cows." This is an uplifting and thought-provoking work.

Description:

The Long Lost Garden of Eden is a tribute to the fruit growers of the Central Valley of California and all other agriculture-derived industries. Mr. Charles remains true to his upbringing deeply rooted in agribusiness. This book is the result of his keen observations and 12-year research into what makes the San Joaquin Valley one of the most fertile lands in the country. His poems will give you a glimpse of the Central Valley's diversity. His research has culminated into the realization that the Central Valley of California, locked between Southern and Northern California, is the fruit basket of the world. This collection will engage your mind and soul. It will provoke deep reflection that will lead to enlightenment, positive attitude and spiritual renewal. The themes of these poems are universal. Artistic appreciation, hope, beauty, love, loss, hard work, self-improvement, despair, migration, and drought are all themes anybody can relate to, irrelevant of their origins and taste.

Abrahamic Promise

The Orthodox Jew embraces the Palestinian, Arab, and Gentile

All of them finally recognize their brotherly lineage

In the desert, they can trace their

Ancestry to the One who was called to leave

Everything behind to start a long journey

Ecumenical, interfaith, religious pluralism, mixed marriages

Interracial, biracial, biracialism, two-religion families,

Mix-raced, multiracial, multifaith are modern coinage

They are discovery terms and expressions that bring us

Closer to the fulfillment of the long-awaited promise

Of brotherhood, harmony, and union. One we are indeed!

Farewell to the hypocrisy of the past social contracts

Farewell to the anti-miscegenation laws which

Favored only one group who called the shots

Yet, covert or exploited interracial unions begat

Biracial offspring even to the Founders of this nation

Farewell to Jim Crow and all evil systems oppressing

A man’s own blood and family. Call him a deadbeat dad!

It’s not time to save face and social position any longer

The scattered children are tired of living in the shadows

The Israelis break the bread of peace with

Their Palestinian and Arab brothers. Then they share the same tent

Of reconciliation and complete brotherhood.

Oh Jerusalem, let the angel of peace stop the bloodbath and unite your children!

Let them realize what matters most as both groups

Are not foreign to suffering and tribulations

The museum of Tolerance presents powerful shows

Of the holocaust and past struggles of African-Americans

The pictures of Iraqi, Rwandan genocide victims and

Palestinian militants are archived in newsrooms database

Let the non-Jew have his bar mitzvah at the temple

His Muslim interracial parents will appreciate the gesture

After all, it’s a rite of passage just like Quinceaneras

In the Hispanic culture

We have Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa,

And many ethnic, religious celebrations in the Valley

The Americans will wait for their Russian, Vietnamese

Or South American brides in the true practices of

Democracy, freedom of choice and association

Love can’t ever be regulated any longer.

The Asian grooms will cherish their English brides

The Africans will freely pick their European sweethearts

The Indian immigrants will abolish all old-country

Divisive systems. Only America guarantees such a melting pot!

Differences of skin tone, facial features, wealth, and language

Should not matter any longer

We are all sons and daughters of Adam and Eve (Acts 17:26)

For we were alike before we were different

From the dirt we all came; to it we shall return some day

Then, the floods wiped out everyone

The gene pool was narrowed back down to Noah’s family

The same human blood is running through our veins

Moses married an Ethiopian woman

His brother and sister, Aaron and Miriam, spoke

Against him. They found displeasure in his union

Miriam’s skin was attacked with leprosy for 7 days

For her sharp tongue and criticism (Num.12:1-15)

Bringing diverse people together found approval

After all, we are all one human family, with one father and many siblings

If you thought E.L James's 'Fifty Shades Trilogy' was hot, then think again!

Kandy Belle's book: Tropics Romance Trilogy (TRT): Lonely Rich Tourist Women Seek Revenge, Meet Sexy Beach Boys and Paradise Gods: Tropics Romance Trilogy

Book Review

This romance novel series 'Tropics Romance Trilogy or TRT' promises to be riveting. Author Kandy Belle empowers lonely western women to seek and create their own happiness. Rejected in their own culture for being too old, too fat, unattractive, and too ugly despite all their beauty products, nips and tucks, these women take it upon themselves to get out and travel to meet accepting and willing men of another culture who can provide them with the healing sugar or the new elexir. Many of these women are successful business women and entrepreneurs who broke through the glass ceiling by creating great businesses in corporate america. Now that they've reached the peak of the summit and have been considered the epitome of success by any other means, they are making time to seek sensual, erotic pleasures on the best, pricey all-inclusive beach hotel resorts spread over many Caribbean and Latin American countries. Without any financial stress and kids to tie them down, they are up and about in their search for rejuvenation and pleasure for pleasure's sake.

Author Kandy Belle invites you to follow the adventures of these three lonely but brave women on the beaches of the Caribbean, extending from Barbados, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and all the way to Brazil. Throughout 'Tropics Romance Trilogy,' author Kandy Belle has done a great job of showing that three women (Magna, Deanna, and Martina)are not ready to accept their American males' condemnation and blatant rejection. For them, it's about people's most basic need to connect, express and feel through sexuality. These women will reconsider the notions of love, attraction, the mating dance, and the challenges of keeping up with societal norms.

Enjoy your reading of this trilogy that could be titled 'Lonely Rich Western Women Hit the Tropics.' And why not them now? Men, European or western men, have done it for centuries.

Rodriguez's Organic Rise to Rock and Roll - After 40 Years of Lost Royalties, He Finds Fans: "Fleeting is Fame," he once said

Answering a question asked by a journalist over the lack of royalties Rodriguez has not received for over 40 years, he replied, "“Hate is too strong an emotion to waste on somebody you don’t like..."

You can purchase a copy of this ebook right here: Sixto Diaz Rodriguez's Philosophy: Rodriguez's eBook Guide to Happiness

Rodriguez writes and sings about some universal themes. Most importantly, he writes about the subjects any Detroiter or any resident of Michigan can relate to. He writes about the people who inhabit his surroundings. Just like Philip Levine's body of works, Rodriguez writes about the working-class Detroit and the motif of the heartland. Rodriguez's songs are timeless and insightful. They are about drugs, love, lust, power, human frailty, greed, the rich and poor, the cry of children, the oppressed and the oppressor. No wonder that his music made him as popular if not more popular than Elvis, Dylan, and the Beatles put together in places such as South Africa and Australia. Rodriguez is the true example of the man who is not recognized by his own people but is made hero in another culture or beyond his own borders. He is a genius. A giant. A superhero anywhere else but his own country.

Thanks to Steven Sergeman and the South African fans!

Thanks to Malik Bendjelloul for Searching for Sugar Man!

Book Review

"Sixto Diaz Rodriguez’s Philosophy: Rodriguez’s eBook Guide to Happiness" is about the man, the legend, and the genius who was not aware of his Rock and Roll fame in other parts of the world. It is about Jesus Rodriguez. Sixto Diaz Rodriguez, the folk musician from Detroit, Michigan who has been given a rebirth thanks to the efforts of two South Africans who launched a search party to find out what happened to their favorite singer and song-writer. Rodriguez, as he prefers to be called now, produced two albums, Cold Fact and Coming From Reality, respectively in 1971 and 1972. They received rave reviews, but they did not sell enough copies. Bootleggers managed to take copies to South Africa and Australia where Rodriguez has had a huge following. He did not know about his popularity on those shores. He was busy demolishing and remodeling homes in the United States to make a living. Music was not paying his bills. The release of this movie/documentary "Searching for Sugar Man" was going to change. As they say, the rest is music history!

The Acappella/Audio Version of "Le Cri de Mon Ame..." and Some of the Favorite Sunday Morning and Evening Praise and Worship Hymns

Le cri de mon âme

S'élève vers toi.

Elle te réclame,

Jésus, pour son Roi.

Ton joug est facile,

Ton fardeau léger;

Sur mon coeur docile

Règne, ô bon berger!

Trop longtemps, le monde

trompat mes désirs.

Changeants comme l'onde

Sont tous ses plaisirs.

Sa joie est frivole,

Tout est vanité;

Seule, ta parole est la vérité.

Parole éternelle,

O Chirst rédempteur,

Prends moi sous ton aile,

Habite en mon coeur.

Dans la nuit profonde,

Tiens moi par la main;

Lumière du monde,

Luis sur mon chemin

Source de l'eau vive,

Pain venu des cieux,

Que par toi je vive

Paisible et joyeux!

Quand luira l'aurore

Du jour éternel,

Que je vive encore

Pour toi, dans le ciel!

Review:

Choir Director and Pastor Marcel Dubois' most recent project culminates in the compilation of the most popular hymns sung by Haitian / American / French churches during Sunday morning and evening services. He wants to thank all the ministers, faithful, and music directors of these churches and congregations that had sent their programs to him for the duration of this project. They believed in this project. And they wanted to see its success. Pastor Dubois hopes that this compilation is going to benefit many church members. Just like you, he believes in the power of music to help you praise and worship God.

Here is a review of this book: "Allelluia Haitian Chants of Hope and Faith: Praise to Thee, O Lord, King of Eternal Glory... is a listing of the most requested songs or hymns on ChandesperansOnline.com. It is the web site users' and authors' selections of their favorite hymns from the famous Chants d'esperance Francais et Creoles Haitiens. The authors of this release grew up singing these songs in the church and parochial schools they attended. They are songs such as "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" -"Quel Ami Fidele et Tendre Nous Avons en Jesus-Christ," "Quel Repos, Quel Repos" - "It is Well, It is Well...," etc. This book is a personal affair for the authors as they share their love of singing in French and Haitian creole..."

French Greetings: Salut. Comment Ca Va? Ca va. Quoi de neuf? Pas grand chose.

French Lesson Podcast #1 is about greetings in French. You will learn some new expressions and how to pronounce u. Remember to purse your lips to say u. Get ready to pronounce it as if you are going to make a circle. You will find out how every French object or noun is either masculine or feminine.

In this first lesson, you will learn to place an order at a French Cafe or a restaurant. Politeness or La Politesse is encouraged with S'il vous plait. Positive attitude and goodwill are also encouraged with words such as Volontiers, avec plaisir etc. A garcon (there is a sign under the c which makes it pronounce like "s." In French, it's a cedille) is a boy. But it is how you refer to a waiter at a cafe. You will learn about words and expressions such as Voila, N'est-ce pas, De rien, Au revoir, and a bientot etc. Now, you may wonder why French people kiss each other on the cheek. They kiss their best friends, not strangers.
